Michael More-Molyneux is the current Lord Lieutenant of Surrey, appointed by HM the Queen in July 2015. Michael has lived in the county his entire life and his family has lived at Loseley Park for over five centuries. In 2017, Michael and his wife Sarah moved out of Loseley House and their son Alexander and his wife Sophia took over the house and running of the estate.

He is involved with many volunteer organisations and charities as well as businesses within the county. The Surrey Lieutenancy is actively involved in the promotion of the Queens Award for Enterprise and the Queens Award for Voluntary Service. His role also includes active support of the military, regular, reservists and cadets as well as the magistracy.

“Moving and inspirational”

Michael became a Patron of PSDS in 2016, after attending our 10th anniversary celebration: “This Is Me” – an exhibition of 50 portraits highlighting the individual interests and hobbies of children who just happen to have Down syndrome. Commenting on his support for PSDS, Michael said: “Sarah and I ever since attending our first PSDS evening at Denbies several years ago, have remembered the children and our conversations with their parents with great warmth. The photographs of the children were moving and inspirational, what a wonderful supportive charity PSDS are.”
