Glorious Golf Day

The weather was HOT HOT HOT, as was the golf at our third annual PSDS Golf Day! We are extremely grateful to the 52 golfers who supported us this year – our biggest number yet – and to the wonderful team at Reigate Heath, not to mention our volunteers and sponsors, who made it such a successful and smooth-running event.

After bacon rolls and coffee in the very cool air-conditioned clubhouse, our golfers ventured out for 9 holes on the beautiful heath and to the putting green for our new putting competition.

It’s fair to say a cooling shower and equally cold beverages were needed once golfers returned from the course, before our prize giving, raffle and auction after which we enjoyed fabulous entertainment from Sally C and delicious freshly cooked pizzas from Monte Forte.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, helping us to raise over £5,600 for PSDS with their generous support, including bids for our amazing auction lots featuring golf at The Wisley, The RAC, Bramley Golf Club and Betchworth Park Golf Club.

Well done to everyone for surviving the high temperatures and especially to our competition winners, who received prizes kindly sponsored by Downs Solicitors and Matt Groves from JamGolf.

We are very grateful to PSDS member James for all his help with the Golf Day and to our team of volunteers – Thea, Rowan, Brooke and Luca from Monte Forte. Huge thanks to Sarah, Max and Georgina from Reigate Heath Golf Club who looked after us all so well once again this year.

We’re already looking FORE-ward to our 2027 Golf Day. PSDS will be turning 21 next year, so we are planning a bumper event, plus lots of other special celebrations.
