Get Ready To Rock Your Socks
We are celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Week – and World Down Syndrome Day – in style. You can show your support by rocking your mismatched socks too at any point during the week (16th – 22nd March) or on World Down Syndrome Day, Saturday 21st March. We are hosting a coffee morning and pre-loved book sale at 42a Prices Lane on Wednesday 18th March, speaking at the Dorking Business Breakfast Group meeting on Thursday 19th March, holding our annual Quiz Night and mega raffle on Friday 20th March and our children and young people will be rocking their socks and rocking the mic at our special World Down Syndrome Day disco and karaoke session. We are also planning a very special event to round off Down Syndrome Awareness Week – a photo exhibition featuring stunning portraits of our members of all ages with a private viewing for our families on Sunday 22nd March, followed by an event open to invited guests a few days later.
Pre-schools, schools, colleges, clubs, groups and workplaces can all get involved in rocking their mismatched socks too. Wearing socks that don’t match is a great way to show that no two people are exactly the same – we are all unique individuals regardless of the number of chromosomes we have!
If you would like to show your support and help PSDS to continue providing exceptional services for children and young people with Down syndrome and their families, please click here to make a donation.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
