Bowled Over by Felbridge
We had the great pleasure of returning to Felbridge Bowling Club recently to meet up with Pearl, whose first season as President has just ended. Throughout the 2025 bowls season Pearl and Andrew, along with their fellow club members, supporters and visitors have worked extremely hard to raise funds for PSDS at events including a Swinging 60s themed President’s Day at the end of August. At the season close, Pearl was over the moon to hand over a total of £1,900.66 to PSDS – the result of competition entries, refreshment sales, raffles, collecting tins on the club bar and donations.
Speaking about her decision to choose PSDS for the 2025 season, Pearl said “I have seen how beneficial the support provided by PSDS is and how essential it is in filling the gap in local authority provisions. Charities like PSDS bring families together and offer positivity and hope to parents who just can’t get access elsewhere to the right support for their children. I know the funds we have raised will be put to very good use providing exceptional services which in turn help children and young people with Down syndrome to reach their full, individual potential. I am so pleased we could help with such wonderful generosity from our members.”
We are extremely grateful to Pearl and to the whole club for their support – what an amazing season it has been!
Well done Pearl and F.B.C – you are all F.A.B!!
